Portrait drawn in 1942 by a Soviet prisoner of war in Norway. The drawing depicts Ingeborg Selbo, who lived near the prison camp at Falstad. At the back, Ingeborg has written: “Painted by a Russian who was a prisoner at Falstad in Ekne during the last world war 1940-1945. Probably painted in 1942. I provided the canvas to draw on and a picture for him to look at, [the prisoner] Ljuban Wucovitcj was the go-between. Why there was a seam on the canvas I don’t understand. I write this in 1983, so this happened many years ago.”
